How blackwork ages over ten years
We revisited five clients a decade on. Here's what holds, what softens, and how to plan for it.
Heavy black is the most forgiving ink there is — but only if it was packed well and placed with aging in mind. Bold, solid fields hold beautifully. Fine ornamental detail softens, so we space it with that decade in mind rather than crowding the skin. The takeaway: design for the tattoo you will have at forty, not just the photo you will post next week.
